Up early and on the road, heading to Mulege (moo – le – hay ). The sky is totally blue with a wind blowing. We left the Pacific Ocean and headed over miles and miles of salt flats. Then started to climb up and over the center mountains. The desert plantlife got more and more sparce, like what I expected the Baja to be like. On route, we passed the Volcan de tres virgenes - Volcano of the Three virgins.

And drove down the Cuesta del Infierno - hill from Hell.
And arrived at the Sea of Cortez.

We drove along the coast and turned down a dirt road., traveled for 2 miles, and arrived at Ray’s campground and restaurant. Ray greeted us with a tray of Margaritas. and then we sat around and relaxed.

It is in the midst of a farming area. Dinner was really fresh salad, scallops, kalamari, and fresh veggies with rice pudding for dessert -- mmmm.
